ANDERSON, CALIFORNIA (October 29, 2017) – A man was hit by a train and killed on North Street in Anderson on Sunday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:20 pm at the intersection of North Street and Highway 273. A man was struck by a train for an unknown reason at the intersection, which is equipped with lights and gate arms.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
