“Air Ambulance Crashes”
AMARILLO, TEXAS (April 29, 2017) – Scott Riola was tragically killed in a small plane crash on Saturday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The small plane, identified as a Pilatus PC-12, was registered to Rico Aviation and was being used as an air ambulance. The plane took off around 12:30 am from the Amarillo Airport carrying three people. The plane crashed a short time after takeoff for an unknown reason, going down in a field off Interstate 40 and Pullman Road.
Scott Riola, a flight nurse, was tragically identified as one of the three victims of the crash. Also killed were nurse Misty Nicholson and pilot Robin Shaw. The crash remains under active investigation at this time as authorities attempt to determine what caused the plane to crash.
