“Two-Vehicle Fatality”

APPLE VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (July 30, 2017) – 63-year-old Alan Brill was involved in a vehicle collision at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Deep Creek Road Sunday afternoon, according to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Department. (map)

The accident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. Brill was traveling northbound on Deep Creek Road in a 2013 Honda Civic. He attempted to make a left turn onto Bear valley Road when the driver of a 202 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 57-year-old Carmine Combs, ran a red light and collided into the Civic, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Brill and his passenger, later identified as 77-year-old Rosemary Brill were pronounced dead at the scene. Combs was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation is ongoing to determine if drug of alcohols were factors in the collision.
