HELL’S KITCHEN, NEW YORK CITY (July 28, 2017) – 30 people were injured on Friday afternoon after a water taxi crashed into a pier, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened just after 4:00 pm when a New York City Water Taxi was coming in for a landing at Pier 79 in Hell’s Kitchen. The boat collided with the pier, which is near west 40th Street on the Hudson River.

30 people in total were injured in the collision, with injuries ranging from minor to serious. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability at this time.
